Thumbs Up !

My grandpa cant see . He suffers from Mecular degeneration from past 20-25 years . Day by day it gets worse . From past 5 years he has turned partially blind . It is an expected hereditary for my dad and myself .  Few days ago I took him to barber's shop . Its my job , taking him there every couple of months , taking him to doctor , taking him for a walk , guiding him through the roads . He places his left arm on my right shoulder and his right one holding a stick . Everyone knows the condition of Mumbai roads :P I have to say " slope ahead " , "small step " ,"cracks on road ", " wait car coming " and so on ... Live commentary . So as I was taking dada home from barber's shop and speaking " small step ahead .. 1.. ..2 " , a guy called out .. I don't know who he was . Never saw him before . I thought he might be calling someone across the street but once again he shouted " HEY BRO .. " and I looked at him ...

The cheeky comment business

Throughout our school ,college and any sort of classroom we all aspire to be known by our cheeky comments . We all want the people around us to laugh at what we say in class and look smug . You may be the most introvert person in the room , the most studios , the most obedient or the smart one but being known as the cheeky commenter never ceases to be out of your mind. You might have certain groups in your school of 4-5 . Maybe more , maybe less... but everyone does have a group . The one who can crack jokes aloud gains attention and everyone else in that group is overshadowed by him/her . Well I had some pretty good memories but the memory which makes me smile the most and makes me wish if only it was me who would have said that was in 7th grade... There were 5 of us in the group ( No names , they shouldn't feel so important .. hate you guys for being so busy  ) . One of them was given the title of most notorious boy in 7th grade by many teachers . He was bit outspoken ,...

Bollywood : Stardom = Good actor

For a country obsessed with its film industry that produces over a thousand films every year , Filmfare awards have been a symbol of excellence . was started to appreciate talented actors . Actors such as Gurudatt , Raj Kapoor , Dilip Kumar , Bimal Roy ,  Amitabh Bachchan and many legends got their name and fame from here . They got recognition , better films to sign . And it all changed in 21st century ...  Industry has been plagued with credibility issues and poor taste . Its hard to think of a year where masses and classes came together to applaud Filmfare jury for being fair for its choices . We understand that there will be disagreements when it comes to winner but as long as deserving artists are nominated , there is hope . Unfortunately , hope is not a word we associate with Bollywood awards. While there are always rumours going around about how these awards are "earned' , we would like to believe that Filmfare is as legitimate as they come. This is single mos...

The one-sided Lover

What is the definition of love , well the perception changes with each generation and the people who live in it .But why do we always talk about the romeo-Juliet , the lailas-majnus , true enough their love was unmatchable but still it was a thread that was held on by both the sides . Romeo did have that exclusive chance of holding Juliet's hands and looking into her eyes and the feelings were mutual .  How about we talk about the love that never climbed up the relationship ladder and languished at the bottom . Does that mean that love wasn't worth it ? Did it fall short in its magnitude ? Yeah it did fall short but only in its commencement ,But it was as cute and deep as any . One sided love as it has been generally referred to as is actually the definition of love .  Looking at her from a long distance , trying to catch a glimpse of her while she walks past you taking care she doesn't see you watching . Secretly taking care of her and making sure she never ...

#PrayForParis

This was one of the best thing I have ever read on fb .. I wont change a single word in it or correct any grammatical error . Isobel Bowdery : you never think it will happen to you. It was just a friday night at a rock show. the atmosphere was so happy and everyone was dancing and smiling. and then when the men came through the front entrance and began the shooting, we naiively believed it was all part of the show. It wasn't just a terrorist attack, it was a massacre. Dozens of people were shot right infront of me. Pools of blood filled the floor. Cries of grown men who held their girlfriends dead bodies pierced the small music venue. Futures demolished, families heartbroken. in an instant. Shocked and alone, I pretended to be dead for over an hour, lying among people who could see their loved ones motionless.. Holding my breath, trying to not move, not cry - not giving those men the fear they longed to see. I was incredibly lucky to survive. But so many didn't...

Are men always guilty ?

It’s a general fact that men are usually considered wrong, guilty and blameworthy whereas females are believed to be innocent even if they have done something wrong and unlawful. At the same time, it’s also true that girls are thought to be right and truthful whenever there’s a fight between a guy and a girl. Although they are correct sometimes, it’s not necessary that they are honest or guiltless every time. And many girls avail themselves of this privilege, thinking they can do what they want and no one is going to blame them. Sadly enough, it happens sometimes and boys have to put up with unfavorable situations without having to commit anything wrong. For instance, two women were giving a lecture to illiterate workers on following the rules of Mumbai metro while traveling in it. But it will come to you as a great surprise that they themselves were breaking a few while reprimanding the poor men. In this situation, a common question arises that when you are guilty y...

The Balance

Warning : This post is going to be bit unusual . I don't know if everybody feels like this or it is just me .. Maybe I think too deep ...  This happens a lot of times in a relation that one person is emotional and other one is practical . I feel that everyone has two sides 1) Emotional & 2) Practical and people try to find a proper balance of both in life . It certainly is a brain whacking task . I will tell you how I try to find balance with example (Because that's what my teachers will expect :P #IndianStudent ) Last year on 20th September 2014 , I was a contestant for Mr. Fresher in my college . I lost ... Badly . The crowd wasn't a good one . They were shouting and booing regularly . In my earlier posts I have mentioned that I had stage fear in school and with great difficulty I had come out of it . So this performance could have easily been a major set back if I hadn't balanced the emotional part & practical part properly . For first 15-20 ...
