India : Developed & civilized nation ?
Last week I went on a vacation with my family to Thailand. I was awestruck by the discipline of people in following traffic rules, the roads, the workaholic nature and the smile they put up on their face. The roads are super flat. No one uses horn at all. No lane cutting. Everyone gives signal, stops at zebra crossing, lets the people cross first. It was one of the most perfect city (Bangkok) I have ever seen in terms of traffic. I didn't see any beggar in Phuket and only 2 beggars in Bangkok (one with no limbs and 2nd with no eyes). The major problem for us on this trip was getting vegetarian food. In breakfast (buffet) 75% of food was non-veg. The only veg food we were able to find was bread and beverages and juices. I told that to the chef there. He made me fried rice with vegetable gravy and bowed down when I said "Kop Khun Kha" (thank you). I have never seen anything like this India.
