The one-sided Lover

What is the definition of love , well the perception changes with each generation and the people who live in it .But why do we always talk about the romeo-Juliet , the lailas-majnus , true enough their love was unmatchable but still it was a thread that was held on by both the sides . Romeo did have that exclusive chance of holding Juliet's hands and looking into her eyes and the feelings were mutual .  How about we talk about the love that never climbed up the relationship ladder and languished at the bottom . Does that mean that love wasn't worth it ? Did it fall short in its magnitude ? Yeah it did fall short but only in its commencement ,But it was as cute and deep as any . One sided love as it has been generally referred to as is actually the definition of love .  Looking at her from a long distance , trying to catch a glimpse of her while she walks past you taking care she doesn't see you watching . Secretly taking care of her and making sure she never ...

#PrayForParis

This was one of the best thing I have ever read on fb .. I wont change a single word in it or correct any grammatical error . Isobel Bowdery : you never think it will happen to you. It was just a friday night at a rock show. the atmosphere was so happy and everyone was dancing and smiling. and then when the men came through the front entrance and began the shooting, we naiively believed it was all part of the show. It wasn't just a terrorist attack, it was a massacre. Dozens of people were shot right infront of me. Pools of blood filled the floor. Cries of grown men who held their girlfriends dead bodies pierced the small music venue. Futures demolished, families heartbroken. in an instant. Shocked and alone, I pretended to be dead for over an hour, lying among people who could see their loved ones motionless.. Holding my breath, trying to not move, not cry - not giving those men the fear they longed to see. I was incredibly lucky to survive. But so many didn't...

Are men always guilty ?

It’s a general fact that men are usually considered wrong, guilty and blameworthy whereas females are believed to be innocent even if they have done something wrong and unlawful. At the same time, it’s also true that girls are thought to be right and truthful whenever there’s a fight between a guy and a girl. Although they are correct sometimes, it’s not necessary that they are honest or guiltless every time. And many girls avail themselves of this privilege, thinking they can do what they want and no one is going to blame them. Sadly enough, it happens sometimes and boys have to put up with unfavorable situations without having to commit anything wrong. For instance, two women were giving a lecture to illiterate workers on following the rules of Mumbai metro while traveling in it. But it will come to you as a great surprise that they themselves were breaking a few while reprimanding the poor men. In this situation, a common question arises that when you are guilty y...

The Balance

Warning : This post is going to be bit unusual . I don't know if everybody feels like this or it is just me .. Maybe I think too deep ...  This happens a lot of times in a relation that one person is emotional and other one is practical . I feel that everyone has two sides 1) Emotional & 2) Practical and people try to find a proper balance of both in life . It certainly is a brain whacking task . I will tell you how I try to find balance with example (Because that's what my teachers will expect :P #IndianStudent ) Last year on 20th September 2014 , I was a contestant for Mr. Fresher in my college . I lost ... Badly . The crowd wasn't a good one . They were shouting and booing regularly . In my earlier posts I have mentioned that I had stage fear in school and with great difficulty I had come out of it . So this performance could have easily been a major set back if I hadn't balanced the emotional part & practical part properly . For first 15-20 ...

Teeny love Part 2

People loved Teeny Love a lot and some requested me to write more about it . Lol I didn't have to search for story as it always is forthcoming when you are a teenager .  One of my friend is in a relationship since quite some time . She loves her boyfriend a lot ( Idiot guy :P ) . Now she likes this guy in my building( another idiot ) .  Friend :  Hetu what should I do ? I feel attracted to this . I love my boyfriend yet I am falling for this guy . The spark in my relation is missing . He isn't that attentive now . It doesn't feel that dreamy as it used to. I dont wanna cheat on him but I like this guy , he is nice and simple and sweet.  Love is really confusing . I know this guy is just an attraction nothing else . Umm .. How do I explain you .. Its tough ..  Hetu : Can I laugh first ? Pleaseeee ?? Friend : Okay fine .. I am leaving . Bye ( Drama is necessary .. Always . Tip 101 guys : Be serious when they talk about love however ...

India : Developed & civilized nation ?

Last week I went on a vacation with my family to Thailand. I was awestruck by the discipline of people in following traffic rules, the roads, the workaholic nature and the smile they put up on their face. The roads are super flat. No one uses horn at all. No lane cutting. Everyone gives signal, stops at zebra crossing, lets the people cross first. It was one of the most perfect city (Bangkok) I have ever seen in terms of traffic. I didn't see any beggar in Phuket and only 2 beggars in Bangkok (one with no limbs and 2nd with no eyes). The major problem for us on this trip was getting vegetarian food. In breakfast (buffet) 75% of food was non-veg. The only veg food we were able to find was bread and beverages and juices. I told that to the chef there. He made me fried rice with vegetable gravy and bowed down when I said "Kop Khun Kha" (thank you). I have never seen anything like this India. No one actually makes you extra stuff, all they do is tell you to manage. First 2 ...

I am the best in the world

Everyone , right from the top most actor in the world to a school going boy , is pitted and told constantly that "You aren't good enough" . If you are a sports person , some new guy comes in your area who is better than you , your self confidence goes bit lower , you start performing poorly . If you are a student , there is every chance of person sitting beside you is a better than you in academics , extra curricular activities . What happens is , seeing them makes you feel bit low , jealous , danger of them taking your position ,them being better than you at your game. How do I solve this problem ? I wake up in the morning and say ," I AM THE BEST IN THE WORLD". Most might think this is pure arrogance , bit of an attitude . But I feel like, imagine .. there is a 12-13 year old boy in a school who is being made to stay after school as punishment. He writes on blackboard ," I am the best". Then he thinks , my sister is topper of school , my brothe...

Blinded by our eyes

It was 10 'o' clock Friday night . I was really pissed off after studying for my upcoming exams . I just took off on my two wheeler to chill out .The street lights were out in that area, but a guy was working on it . I parked it near a 'paanwala' . I wanted to buy some chewing gum while riding back . On that seat of 'paanwala' was a blind boy . I was really surprised and amazed to see this boy . He must be 16 . I had to really squint my eyes to look for change in my hands . At that very moment the lights fell on the streets. I let out a sigh and whispered "Thank God". The boy heard me and smiled . While I was leaving the repairman walked in and asked for cigarette . He said ," From last 6 days some guy is calling me every day 3 times for this . Its done finally . "  I gave a wry smile . The 'paanwala' said "Thank you bhaiyaa . Aap paise mat dijiyega . Ye aapke liye free hai , light theek karane k liye . Vo mai hi tha jo roz...

Which door will you choose ?

I am a Youtube guru , I watch number of videos and ads everyday . Today I came across an ad and felt like , this ideology should be shared with the people . In China a shopping mall came up with this idea . At entrance they put up 2 sliding doors . First one had the board "Beautiful" and the second had the board "Average". People ( women* , only girls tend to look up at such thing . Men just don't care :P ) took long time to decide which door to get in from . 90% of the women took the latter door . Here are some of the replies of women :  "After 5 minutes of thinking what people will think if I go through the " beautiful " door ... am I beautiful ... and all that questions , I chose the average door ... after going in , I felt bad because I chose that door . It was my choice that I am "average" ." "I think I chose that door because of what's constantly being bombarded at me , whats being told ." Aft...

The Heart of a Woman

Shivangi and me were coming back home (I don't even remember when this was and where did we go that day :P). I bought coke from station. I love coke. ( PS: If I share my coke with you .. you are very special to me :P). It was about 7:30 in evening, completely dark, crowded station. There was this small kid who came to us begging. I hate beggars. At first they try to creep you out or tell false tails and I have been a victim of one such story and didn't want to look stupid so I just ignored the kid. He started asking for my coke and touching it. I didn't listen and went on. Shivu looked at him and then me in quick succession and tried telling me through eyes that probably you should give him that coke. After about a minute or 2 that kid spotted a different target and walked off after him. "THWACK" .. we heard a slap and turned to see that kid being slapped by that guy for irritating him. Shivu closed her eyes and I started to tug her away from the scene. We w...

Dont be a Bully , be a Star...

One of my teachers once told this to me, the following is what she said and I quote .. "I was taking English lectures for 12th grade and it was my first lecture in that class . I was randomly asking people some basic questions regarding grammar and general knowledge . After asking some 5-6 people , I looked at corner benches and on one of those benches was this quite boy sitting with petrified eyes , praying that I don't ask him . But that's what we , teachers do , ask the boy who we know doesn't have the answer (at least we think that he doesn't have any answer) . He stood up and stood there like a statue . It was first lecture so I spared him . But when this happened 5 times in a row , I lost my cool . I yelled at him in front of whole class and told him to bring his parents the next day as I thought he wasn't paying any attention in class.  " After college time was over, I was sitting in my classroom doing some paper work and this boy turns up...
